Challenge
In Europe, languages like Cornish in the United Kingdom and Griko in Italy face a silent threat: the risk of disappearing. These languages represent centuries of history, culture, and identity for entire communities, but the lack of visibility and digital resources hinders their transmission to new generations. My challenge was to create a platform that not only documented these languages but brought them to life in a relevant and accessible way.
Solution
I design REVIVE, a website dedicated to celebrating and revitalizing endangered languages through visual and interactive storytelling. The platform showcases the culture, people, and communities behind each language, transforming linguistic preservation into an engaging experience. The goal was to create a digital space that reinforced the vitality of these languages, connecting speakers, learners, and curious minds in a common movement of cultural appreciation and continuity.
